Students will make and take home a Solar Box.  


Solar Boxes are an excellent example of an Off-the-Grid solar powered systems; they consist of: a solar panel, a controller, a battery; these provide the power to two usb chargers, a car radio with speakers and Bluetooth capabilities, as well as a light.  


Participants will gain the knowledge of how an off-the-grid solar system works; and first-hand experience wiring a low voltage electrical system.


There is a $17/kits cost, and scholarships are available upon request.  

One to three people can work on a single kit.
